How We Review Temple Information

Pilgrims make real travel decisions from this data. Accuracy is not optional.

Published temple information is reviewed using the strongest sources available for that temple. We prioritise official sources for changeable details such as darshan timings, aarti schedules and registration requirements. Where no official portal or current primary source is available, we say so, qualify the information and ask visitors to confirm before travelling.

The Process

Four Steps Behind Our Reviews

search

Primary Sources First

Official temple trust websites, government portals (NIC, state tourism), and ASI notifications are our preferred first references. We use other reliable public references when a suitable official source is unavailable or additional context is needed.

Cross-Referenced

High-impact details (such as darshan timings, registration requirements, and seasonal dates) are compared with additional reliable sources where practical. The depth and date of review can vary by temple, so changeable information should still be confirmed before travel.

Periodic Review

Temple pages are reviewed and updated periodically. The review date is displayed on every temple detail page so pilgrims know how fresh the data is.

warning

Uncertainty Is Flagged

Where data cannot be independently confirmed, we flag it with a "Verify before visit" notice rather than presenting uncertain data as established fact.
